The advantage of the Cobra Cable system is that it doesn’t require drilling holes and trees, and can generally be done much faster and with less intensive effort. Also, the synthetic Cobra Cable fibers are designed to stretch gently as the tree grows, making this a very flexible option. Traditional cable systems may need to be redone as the tree grows
However, sometimes you do need traditional cabling for the sheer strength that it offers. Plus, it’s cheaper.
Whichever system is best for you, cabling and bracing is one of the best ways to handle a tree with potentially dangerous structural defects.
